My dear friends and loyal patrons, thank you for your years of support. It is with great sadness that I must announce that the Washington Renaissance Faire was the victim of a hostile take over this year. Our attorneys advised us that any legal action at this time would simply delay either party from having faire in 2010. Since faire has been my dream and passion for the past 12 years, I have chosen not to take any legal action to try and regain control of faire until after the show in 2010. I do not desire to rob anyone of the opportunity to enjoy faire as none of you are interested or wish to be affected by the politics of this event and neither should you be. I understand you simply want to enjoy yourselves, have a wonderful and exciting summer. I only ask that should we regain control of faire that we can look forward to your continued support in the future. I wish you all well and hope to see you in 2011. Your servant,
